I am a PhD Candidate in the Population Biology Graduate Group and Bay Lab at UC Davis. My dissertation is focused around understanding the evolutionary dynamics of a large chromosomal inversion in eelgrass, Zostera marina. More broadly, I am interested in the genomic basis of local adaptation and parallel evolution. I combine field work and experiments with a variety of sequencing technologies to contribute to our understanding of and ability to conserve ecologically-important marine organisms.

Outside of my dissertation, I am eager to connect my scientific background to my passions of outreach and art. My most recent project endeavor is in conjunction with n-girls collective, in which I served as a fashion designer and host of an eco-trash fashion show at the Bodega Marine Lab as part of the Russell J. and Dorothy S. Bilinski Fellowship.
